Club Pass Program

As voted by a vast majority at the Leagues’ December Presidents’ meeting, LIJSL will adopt the use of General Club Pass for League Play beginning with this coming spring season.
Players from a different team may now be added to the game day roster, and play for another team, in the same club, if they are age-eligible (based upon current league age group limits, See Below).
Use of General Club Pass will now be available for all age groups, U9 through U19 for league games only (replaces ‘pool play’ for U9 – U12).
Please note that this should not be used as a tool to gain a competitive advantage
General Club Pass will not be adopted for 2019 LI Cup Play.
Please see specific LI Cup Rules regarding eligible players, team rosters.
With the initiation, use of General Club Pass for League Play this spring season, please note the following:
Individual Club Rules Apply
Each member club maintains authority for and oversight regarding any of their team’s use of General Club Pass.
Any questions regarding use of General Club Pass must be referred to your club.
Club Player(s)
For Spring ’19, maximum number of Club Players remains five (5) per team.
Again, Individual Club Rules apply and all questions regarding use of Club Player(s) must be referred to your club.
Club Pass is a tool used effectively across the US Soccer youth landscape
This tool has been in existence for some time and is currently used in numerous national, regional and sectional platforms. The US Youth National League, US Youth National League EDP Conferences, US Youth National Championships & Presidents Cups, ENY State Cups and ENY/EDP Premier Leagues, have all utilized this tool for the benefit of participating leagues, clubs, teams and players.
Adoption of General Club Pass will now specifically offer our member clubs greater flexibility in managing their teams and facilitating game day rostering to;
Improve Player Development
Again, the use of General Club Pass is not intended to be, nor should it be a tool to gain a competitive advantage.

‘Club Pass’ players must be added to, appear on the game day rosters (2 copies) given to referee at check-in, with their full name, uniform and Pass ID#’s, and all player passes
Game day roster, including any ‘Club Pass’ players, may NOT exceed league maximum:
U9/U10 [Max 14] U11/12 [Max 18] U13+ [Max 22]
